I recently stayed at Matsunoki in Karakol and had a wonderful experience. The Japanese owner, who is married to a Kyrgyz man, was incredibly attentive and quick to address our needs. She even provided us with some extra items we requested right away. We were pleasantly surprised when she upgraded our room without any additional cost. The atmosphere was welcoming, and her children played well with my daughter. The place itself was sparkling clean and lovely, with beautiful wooden beams. We enjoyed having breakfast in the fresh air of the lovely garden. The beds were comfortable, clean, and warm, and the ensuite bathroom was spotless with good water pressure. They made sure to have coffee and tea available 24 hours a day. The breakfast spread was delicious, offering a choice of eggs or porridge and a variety of small plates with cheese, cold cuts, dried fruits, crepes. The location was perfect for us, as we were able to walk to all the attractions. we had a fantastic stay and highly recommend Matsunoki as the perfect place to stay in Karakol.

Had a great time at a place with a garden and free WiFi! Enjoyed stuffing myself with a buffet breakfast every morning and even had a nice terrace to relax on. Let's not forget the airport nearby - just in case I needed to escape!
Oh, and who needs privacy? No private parking or bathroom.

The garden and terrace are simply delightful, perfect for sipping tea while pretending I'm in a Jane Austen novel. The breakfast buffet had me feeling like the queen herself.
Who needs soundproofing when you can enjoy all the lovely conversations and loud footsteps echoing around the hotel day and night?

Centrally located, this beautifully decorated guesthouse offers comfortable and clean rooms. The owners speak English and are friendly, providing helpful information about the area. The outdoor terrace is a great place to relax and the breakfast is delicious. The hotel offers services beyond expectations, including transportation arrangements and laundry services.
Some noise may be experienced in the ground floor bedrooms due to the wooden floors.

stayed at a fabulous hotel in karakol and Matsunoki topped my previous experience. Loved the friendly staff, homemade jam at breakfast, and the connections made for horse riding and jeep tours. Highly recommend!

We stayed at Matsunoki for a weekend getaway and it was absolutely wonderful. Yuka, the hostess and chef, made our experience truly special with her kind and welcoming nature. The breakfast and Japanese dinner that we had on request were both delicious and varied. Each room was perfectly appointed and the swing outside and the attic space with the train set and amazing toys made our two kids extremely happy. The attention to detail and care put into the place was evident throughout and we couldn't have asked for a better stay. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The owner and manager, Yuka, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and helped us with everything we needed. The breakfast spread was incredible, with a wide variety of delicious food to choose from, including omelettes, bread, local jam, and fresh fruits. The hotel had a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, where we were able to easily mingle with other guests from different countries. We loved the family-like environment and enjoyed getting to know people from Holland, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, and more.
It felt like we were part of a big family during our stay, and there were absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
